"The Quadfather" was designed for those out there who dont want to struggle on wafer thin, unstable ultra high performance type shortboards but still want to be able to lay down some serious turns. The 'QF' is all about making surfing easier and more enjoyable and it is all done so very discreetly. At first glance, the QF almost looks like your typical shorty but if you take a closer look you will see that the planshape has a little extra area for stability and floatation, the rocker has been slightly reduced for increased drive and speed and the volume has been kept in the board. I have made the QF so that they are great paddlers by keeping plenty of volume under the chest and torso area but still rolling the deck into fairly low rails so that it is still a sensitive and responsive board to ride. It really does make surfing easier and with the little extra volume kept in the board, it makes catching wasves a breeze. The quad fins ensure tons of drive, combine that with the slick single to double concaves and the QF has speed to burn and when you have got speed, anything is possible ! So if you are looking for a board that paddles well, has plenty of speed, has amazing manouverability and basically makes surfing easier and more enjoyable, than " The Quadfather " is for you...
The dimensions on this Quadfather are 6'2" x 19 1/4" x 2 7/16" , it has a subtle single that blends into a nice double concave that runs through the quad fins for drive, lift and it really allows the board to get up on rail easily. The diamond tail is a stable yet pivotty feeling tail and it also shortens the length of board when surfing on rail so it really is a manouverable design as well as fast and also it paddles great too. Always custom designed to suit your needs.
This next Quadfather board was custom designed for a guy who surfs quite well but had never really got into quads. He rides alot of different shapes but this was designed to be a bit of an all-rounder for him . He surfs Lennox and Ballina area mostly so I had to shape it to surf well in long point waves but also in hollow beachies too, here's what we came up with...
- 6'3" x 19 1/2" x 2 5/8"
- round tail , single to double concave, Quad fin ( obviously )
- M3's in front and G1000's in the tail
