High performance shortboards
This one's pretty much a copy of a DHD a mate had but he had snapped it a few times. I made a few very minor tweaks as this one was an inch shorter than the DHD. I am stoked how it turned out. Customer wanted it light so its only got a 1 x 4 bottom and a 1 x 4 deck. Dims are 5'11" x 19 1/2" x 2 9/16"

This is a 5'5" x17 7/8" x 2 5/16" shorty I did for my son, Cain. He is 13 yrs old and we are progressively reducing the length of his boards. This one has got a bit of width still to make sure it is stable and paddles well, but the single to double with slight vee out the tail ensures its still lively and responsive for him to turn easily. The wide-ish rounded square is a good all round tail and combined with a simple thruster fin set-up, its an easy and forgiving fun shape. The rocker is a little flatter for drive but also it is mostly surfed in beach break waves from 3ft and under. Glassed it nice and light for a resposnive feel for the lighter and less powerful grom....

This is a 6'0" x 18 3/4" x 2 3/8" thruster. It was a custom shape for a guy who lives on the Sunshine Coast and surfs quite well. It has a single concave feeding quite a deepish double thru the fins, it has soft medium rails that get very hard and edgy in the back third of the tail. Glassing is 2 x 4oz deck and 1 x 4 bottom with an extra 2" strip down the stringer on the bottom for additional strength because this guy detroys boards. Rocker is probably a little more than standard but he surfs hard and likes to snap big turns tight in the pocket so he requires more curve, but its still very gradual and drivey.

This board belongs to Quinn Bruce who is one of my team riders. This one is a 5'2" x 16 7/8" x 2" thruster, its slightly flatter and wider in the nose and tail for more planing area and speed, its got a full single concave. Glassed with a 2 x 4 oz deck and 1 x 4 oz bottom. I shape quite a few kids boards for my young team riders and my son and its very satisfying watching the kids progress very quickly especially when on the right boards...

This one is 6'0" x 18 1/4" x 2 1/4", single concave, thruster. A little fuller planshape for extra floatation and stability, nice deepish single for lift and speed, rails are medium boxy but very soft thru the nose but gradually becoming very hard and edgy in the tail, glassed with 2 x 4 oz deck and 1 x 4 oz bottom with fabric inlay for looks and also resistance against deck depressions....
